Testing center opens in Beavercreek
Dayton Children’s Outpatient Testing Center – Beavercreek opened for business on March 12. The testing center offers lab, medical imaging, ultrasound and cardiac testing services with a doctor’s referral. This new facility is located in The Midtown Shoppes of Beavercreek at 3224 Dayton-Xenia Road, Suite 100 (directly behind Wendy’s and Taco Bell). Open weekdays and Saturdays. Call 937-641-5770 for more information or talk to your child’s doctor.

Pediatric specialist joins staff
Dayton Children’s continues to expand its staff of pediatric specialists so that all children in the region have timely access to needed pediatric services. We most recently welcomed: Farhat Ashai-Khan, MD – pediatric gastroenterologist. Dr. Ashai-Khan joins the team in gastroenterology who care for children with diseases of the esophagus, stomach, intestines, pancreas and liver. Dr. Ashai-Khan is board certified in pediatrics and pediatric gastroenterology.

Children’s Miracle Network telethon coming up The 2007 25th Anniversary Telethon will be broadcast live from Dayton Children’s on WHIO-TV7 on Saturday evening and Sunday, June 2-3, 2007. Telethon donations are used to purchase life-saving medical equipment to use throughout the hospital. Tune in to hear inspiring stories of survival from current and former patients and some special 25th anniversary stories. In addition, the hospital’s 40th anniversary will be commemorated. Be sure to tune in, call in and help ensure that quality pediatric health care services are available for all the region’s children.

Celebrating 40 years and still growing …
Looking for patients from 1967 Dayton Children’s
will celebrate 40 years of caring for children as a full service medical center this year. On September 10, 1967, the board of Barney’s Children’s Medical
Center approved an administrative reorganization
and formally dedicated the new hospital in October 28, 1967.
