Dr. Michail was elected to the Society for Pediatric Research in in November 2002. The Society for Pediatric Research is a prestigious national society that recognizes individuals engaged in independent research who are making important contributions to the field of pediatrics.

Dr. Michail is a member of the North American Society of Pediatric Gastroenterology and Nutrition, a member of the American Gastroenterology Association, member of the Crohns and Colitis Foundation and a member and former local delegate of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
