All sessions of grand rounds for physicians are held in the Kogut auditorium on the lower level of The Children's Medical Center of Dayton. Continuing medical education (CME) and continuing nursing education (CEs) is provided as part of the medical center's mission of service, education, research and advocacy.

Describe how obesity is a chronic low-grade inflammatory process contributing to a variety of comorbid conditions.

Discuss the effects of white adipose tissue in leading to and controlling obesity.

Review the role of leptin in hypothalamic function and both the innate and adaptive immune responses.
