7p-7:30a: The Clinical Support III delivers basic patient care, provides comfort measures, maintains patient care environment, and reports patient responses to nursing interventions. The Clinical Support III is a member of the Collaborative Practice team and renders care in accordance with the Standards of Care and Standards of Practice. It is essential that all nursing tasks performed by trained unlicensed assistive personnel be done under the supervision of a licensed nurse. The delegating licensed nurse retains accountability for the delegation and the outcome of the task (Ohio Revised Code -- ORC, Section 4723.28) The Clinical Support III is responsible for the accurate entering of physician orders into the appropriate computer systems and communication of orders to other Dayton Children’s departments. The Clinical Support III collaborates with the charge nurse or relief charge nurse to facilitate coordination of activities on the unit. The Clinical Support III interfaces with and maintains open communication with nursing, physician, and other hospital departments..Professional rescuer CPR, High School diploma/GED and patient care assistant training or actively enrolled in a healthcare-related education required. Will be crossed trained to clerical duties within 8 weeks. Weekend and holiday commitment.
